WHY I CHOSE TO SELF-PUBLISH
I have spent many months trying to get my book published the "traditional" way. In the process, I signed with a literary agency only to find out later that they weren't a legitimate agency. I've gotten a lot of responses from agents saying they think my writing and story are great but they don't have any room to take on new clients. I even have one literary agency that I sent my manuscript to in December of 2005 and still have not gotten a response. Every time I call the agency to ask for a status on my book they say, "It'll only be a few more days." Tired of waiting to be "discovered" by the crowded literary agencies, I've decided to publish my book on my own.
