MEMORIAL PAGES
I will set aside a few pages at the end of my book in memory of those who have lost their lives to anorexia nervosa and/or bulimia. If you plan to donate $1000 or more and have a loved one who has lost their life to anorexia nervosa and/ or bulimia, you can have your loved one's name listed on a memorial page. Your loved one's name, city and state of residency, date of birth, and date of death will be listed. There will be 150 spots available. As with the regular donations, all donations from the memorial pages will go toward the publishing and marketing of my book.
The memorial pages mean so much more to me than a means to raise money for my book. When I first came up with the idea for the pages, all I could picture were these pages filled with names of people who have died from anorexia nervosa and/or bulimia, and I burst into tears. Just visualizing those pages with those names was very overwhelming and very humbling. That's when I knew I had to put the memorial pages in my book, so that the young women who read my book could feel what I felt when I visualized those names, great sorrow and anger. And if seeing those names moves even just one woman to realize she has a problem and needs help, than the people who carried those names would not have died in vain.
How To Donate Through The Memorial Pages
If you plan on making a donation through PayPal, in the comment box put the name, state and city of residency, date of birth, and date of death of the loved one you wish to have listed on the memorial page. Please remember to calculate into your donation the 2.9% + $0.30 fee as mentioned on the How to Donate page.
If you plan to send a personal check or a money order/cashier's check, include a note with the name, state and city of residency, date of birth, and date of death of the loved one you wish to have listed on the memorial page. Use the same steps listed under "money order/cashier's check" on the How to Donate page to send the donation and the note.
